VPNRE Setup Guide
Set up in this order: account, plan, subscription, client, and connection check. Already have your subscription link? Skip ahead to the instructions for your platform.
Menu names and layouts vary between clients. This guide uses common terms such as “subscription,” “configuration,” and “import from link.” The actual buttons may use similar wording. Follow the client and import instructions in your dashboard, and don’t rely on button labels alone to determine whether setup is complete.
Create an Account and Sign In
Open the VPNRE account creation page and enter the username and password you want to use. No email address is required; create your account with a username and password. Choose a username you’ll recognize, use a password that’s unique to VPNRE, and save it in a trusted password manager. Before submitting, check your input method so you don’t accidentally include extra spaces or unintended characters in your password.
Once your account is created, open the dashboard. If you’re taken to the sign-in page, use the username and password you just saved. Make sure you can reach Account Overview before choosing a plan. Avoid creating accounts in multiple tabs, so you don’t accidentally associate your payment with the wrong account.
Creating an account and connecting a client are separate steps. Signing in confirms that you can access your account; it doesn’t mean a device is connected to an international route. Next, check your plan status and import the subscription configuration into your client. To use another device later, sign in to the same account and get its configuration—there’s no need to create a separate account for each device.
Start FreeChoose a Plan and Confirm Your Order
Open Plans in the dashboard and choose between a monthly plan and a data package based on how often you’ll use the service. Monthly plans are suited to regular use: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date. Data packages work well for occasional use and never expire; available options are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB.
After selecting a plan, check its name, price, data allowance, and billing terms on the order confirmation page. Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT are supported. Follow the checkout instructions to complete payment. Keep the order page open during payment, then return to the dashboard to check the order and plan status. If your payment app shows the payment as complete but the dashboard hasn’t updated, refresh the order status before taking any further action—don’t pay again right away.
Plans support unlimited devices, but all devices share the data allowance on the account’s plan; each device doesn’t get a separate allowance. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days. Check the adjustment shown in the dashboard before submitting. VPNRE offers a 7-day money-back guarantee. See the Terms of Service for how to request a refund. Once your plan is active, continue to the next step to get your subscription.
Get Your Subscription Link from the Dashboard
Return to Account Overview in the dashboard and look for the subscription, client import, or copy-link option. Your subscription link lets a client load route configurations. It isn’t an installer or a regular webpage to revisit in a browser. If the dashboard offers an import option for your specific client, use it to avoid mixing configuration formats.
If you’ve already installed a client, you can use the import option in the dashboard. When your browser asks whether to open the associated app, check the app name, then switch to the client and look for the new configuration. If no app is associated or the handoff doesn’t work, copy the subscription link and add it manually in the client. Paste the link as is: keep it intact, without removing parameters, adding spaces, or changing the final characters.
Your subscription link is tied to your account access, so treat it like your account credentials. Don’t post it in public discussions, shared documents, or screenshots. If you need to report an issue, hide the full link and any identifying information it contains. If the dashboard lets you reset your subscription, update the configuration on each device afterward, as the old link may no longer work. This guide doesn’t show real subscription URLs; always get your configuration from the dashboard while signed in.
Before importing, check your plan status and remaining data in the dashboard. Being able to sign in doesn’t mean your plan is active, and repeated imports usually won’t fix connection issues caused by an inactive plan. For details about subscription formats and failed updates, see the Help Center.
Open Account OverviewImport the Client on Your Platform
A client reads your subscription, lets you choose a route, and handles relevant network requests on your device. Use the client provided in the dashboard when possible. If you already have another client, first make sure it supports the subscription format offered in the dashboard. A successful import means the configuration is saved and the route list loads—not just that your browser displayed an “app opened” message.
After signing in, you can get clients for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux from the dashboard; you don’t need an active plan to download one. Getting a client and obtaining a valid subscription are separate steps. The iOS download option is available when your plan status is eligible. The instructions below cover common import methods and don’t include static installer links.
Get the ClientWindows: Add a Subscription or Configuration
Sign in to the dashboard and choose Windows in the client downloads section. Get the VPNRE client for your system and install it. Open the client and look for an option such as “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or “Profiles.” Choose the option to add a configuration by link, then paste your subscription link from the dashboard. Give the configuration a recognizable name if you like, then save it and update.
Once the update is complete, open the routes or proxy page and confirm that selectable routes appear. Choose the route you want to use. For your first setup, you can start with the client’s default rule mode and enable the system proxy. If you’ve only imported the configuration without enabling the proxy, your browser may still use its previous connection. If network permission or a helper component is required, verify its source and follow the client’s instructions. Leave the client running, then continue to the connection check in this guide.
macOS: Enable the Imported Configuration
Download the VPNRE client for macOS from the dashboard, then install and open it as prompted by the system. In configuration or subscription management, choose Add from URL, paste your subscription link, and save it. Then update the configuration. If you use the dashboard’s import option, check that the configuration was actually saved after the app opens—a window opening alone doesn’t mean the import succeeded.
Select the subscription you just added in the configuration list, then choose a route on the routes page. Depending on how the client handles network traffic, enable the system proxy or its network connection feature. If the system asks you to authorize a network extension or helper component, follow the on-screen prompts. Avoid running other tools that modify the system proxy at the same time; otherwise, another tool may handle requests even when the proxy switch appears to be on.
Android: Import a Configuration and Allow the Connection
Sign in to the dashboard to get the Android client, then install it following your device’s prompts. In configuration or subscription management, choose the option to create a configuration from a link, paste the full subscription URL, and save it. After updating, return to the configuration list and select this configuration, then choose an available route. If you have an older configuration, check which one is active so you don’t update the new subscription but continue using the old one.
Tap Connect. Android will usually ask you to approve the system VPN connection. Make sure the request is from the client you just installed, then allow the connection. Return to the app to check its status, then test access in a browser. If the connection drops only after your screen locks or you switch apps, check the system’s battery optimization, background activity, and power-saving settings. Allow the client to keep running if needed; there’s no need to change every system setting before your first connection.
iOS: Get and Import the Client from the Dashboard
Find the iOS client option in the dashboard’s downloads section. If you have an active, unexpired plan, follow the dashboard instructions to get the corresponding client from the App Store. If your plan doesn’t meet the requirements, check its status as instructed in the dashboard. If you already have a client that supports subscription imports, make sure it supports the subscription format in the dashboard; an address field alone doesn’t guarantee compatibility.
After installation, use the matching import option in the dashboard or add the link manually in the client’s subscription manager. Save and update the configuration, choose a route, and turn on the connection. When iOS asks to add a VPN configuration, confirm the app name and complete device authentication. Return to the client to check its status, then test access in a browser and your apps. To change routes later, update the subscription to get the latest configuration instead of editing each route manually.
For your first setup, complete the import and connection check on one client before adding other devices. Linux users can get the appropriate client from the dashboard. Router configuration and proxy settings for command-line tools, IDEs, and similar apps are advanced topics; see the relevant sections in the Complete AI Guide and the Help Center.
Check the Connection
First, check the active configuration, selected route, and connection switch in the client. The configuration should come from the subscription you just imported. The route should be the one you selected or the one currently used by the rules. The connection status should show that it’s enabled. If the route list is empty, update the subscription. If the update fails, check your plan and data status in the dashboard, then make sure you copied the full link.
Once connected, open the site you need and make sure the page loads fully. Then test the features you actually use, such as a signed-in workspace, file sync, or streaming output. A page loading only confirms that request worked; it doesn’t mean every app uses the same route. Browsers, desktop apps, and command-line tools may use different proxy settings, so test each one separately.
To check your exit region, visit IP Lookup and compare the region shown for your current request with your selected route. In rule mode, some requests may use your local connection, so interpret the result in light of the client’s rules. A temporary failure on the IP lookup page doesn’t mean all network access is down. Check the target site and client status too, rather than relying on a single result.
If your browser works but an app can’t connect, fully quit and reopen the app, then check whether it has its own proxy settings. If nothing is accessible, disconnect and confirm your local network works, then reconnect the client and test another route for comparison. Change one setting at a time and keep any error messages. That makes it easier to find the cause than changing the client, route, and mode all at once.
Once the connection works, keep your subscription updated using the method supported by your client. If an issue comes up later, check in this order: local network, plan status, subscription update, client traffic handling, and target app. For details on recurring disconnects, subscription formats, and how target services determine your region, see the Help Center. For differences between the web versions of ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor and their development environments, see the Complete AI Guide. Setup is complete once the connection has been verified; there’s no need to change settings that are already working.
