VPNRE / Help Center
Subscription & Connection Help
Find answers by where the issue occurs, from account setup to route troubleshooting. Check your subscription status first, then review the client and destination app to avoid changing unrelated settings.
Account Setup
Account & Subscriptions
Your account is for managing orders; your subscription link is for loading route configurations. Keep them separate when importing a subscription or moving to another device.
Do I need an email address to create an account? How should I store my account details?
No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. After creating your account, save both in a trusted password manager and make sure you can access the user panel before choosing a plan or setting up a client. Account credentials and subscription links serve different purposes: credentials let you sign in and manage orders, while subscription links let clients retrieve route configurations. Do not use them interchangeably. Since no email address is required, do not assume you can recover your account by email. If you have trouble signing in, check your keyboard input, letter case, and saved password-manager entry. If the issue persists, keep your order details available for verification and contact support through an option in the panel. Never post your credentials publicly.
How do I update my subscription link, and when should I import it again?
Sign in to the user panel and check your current subscription details. Then open the subscription or configuration management area in your client and update the configuration associated with VPNRE. Once the update is complete, make sure that configuration is selected and that the route list appears as expected. Updating a configuration will not change your connection if you continue using a different one. If the subscription link in the panel has changed, edit the source URL in the existing configuration or import the new link and switch to the new configuration. Avoid repeatedly adding configurations with the same name, which can lead you to select an outdated one by mistake. Treat subscription links like passwords: they contain access credentials. When requesting help, describe the error and hide the full link and any related credentials in screenshots.
Do I need to buy again when I switch devices? Which platforms are supported?
VPNRE supports unlimited devices and works on Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Switching devices does not require another purchase. As long as your subscription is active, sign in to the same account on the new device, get the client and subscription details for that platform, import them, then select a route and verify the connection. Using your account on multiple devices does not give each device a separate data allowance; check usage in the account panel. When you stop using an old device, remove locally saved subscription configurations and sign out, especially before handing the device to someone else. If you do not manage the device, avoid leaving your account signed in or your subscription link saved on it.
Where can I download the client? What if the route list is empty after importing a subscription?
Download the client from the downloads area of the user panel, and get your subscription details from your own account. If the route list is empty after import, check whether the client reports a failed configuration download, an unrecognized format, or an unavailable subscription. Then return to the panel and check your subscription status. Make sure you copied the full subscription link, not the panel page URL, and that no punctuation or spaces from a messaging app were included. Next, update the configuration in the management area and confirm that the newly imported configuration is selected. Clients may support different configuration formats, so use the import method provided in the panel for your client. Do not submit links containing credentials to untrusted online conversion sites.
Client Troubleshooting
Connections & Troubleshooting
Identify whether the issue is with your underlying network, the client’s network interception, or the destination app. Change one setting at a time and keep results you can compare.
The client says it’s connected, but why won’t webpages load?
A connected status only means the local connection process has started; it does not confirm that a particular webpage is reachable. Disconnect the client first and check whether your regular websites load on your current network. If the underlying network is having problems, resolve those first. Reconnect, confirm that the intended configuration and route are selected, and check that the system proxy or the client’s network interception mode is working. If nothing is reachable, check for configuration updates and required system permissions. If only certain sites fail, look into split-tunneling rules, the destination service’s status, and its regional requirements. Change one setting at a time and note the result so you can identify the cause instead of changing routes, rules, and networks all at once.
Why does my browser work through the proxy, but a particular app doesn’t?
Browsers and apps may use different network paths. Some apps follow the system proxy, while others have their own connection settings or are set to connect directly by the client’s split-tunneling rules. Check the client’s connection logs to see whether requests appear when you open the app, then review which rules they match. If there are no logs, check the app’s own proxy settings and whether the client has the network permissions it needs. For a virtual network adapter or enhanced interception mode, follow the client’s instructions. Do not permanently switch every rule to the same mode. Compare behavior temporarily, restore the split-tunneling setup that suits your everyday use once you know the cause, and restart the app to verify.
My connection often drops after the device goes idle. What should I check?
First determine whether sleep is pausing the network or the operating system is closing the client. When you resume using the device, check the client status and the system’s background activity settings. Make sure the app is still running and has the network permissions it needs. On Android, check battery optimization and background activity restrictions. On desktop systems, consider the effects of sleep, network changes, and other networking tools. Permission names vary by system version, so use the options shown on your device rather than searching for an exact menu label. Reconnect after making changes and test the app you need. If the issue occurs only on a particular network, note what happens before and after switching, then contact support with the device platform, client messages, and circumstances. Do not reset all settings based on a single disconnection.
What information should I include in a support ticket about a connection error?
Use the support ticket option in the user panel and include your device platform, client, current network environment, selected route name, and the exact error message. Describe steps that reproduce the issue—for example, the connection works after updating the configuration, but fails when you open a particular app—and say whether it happens consistently or only at certain times. If you have tried another network, updated the subscription, or switched routes, include the results to avoid repeating troubleshooting steps. Keep screenshots and logs relevant, and hide sensitive credentials, the full subscription link, and payment details. Do not share your account password. If the destination service displays a regional or account-related message, describe it separately from the client connection error so the issue can be identified more precisely.
International Routes
Speed & Routes
First meet the destination service’s regional requirements, then compare performance for your actual tasks. A route name does not guarantee a particular result.
What should I do about peak-hour slowdowns: switch routes or change plans?
First check whether downloads, syncing, or other devices are using your local network, then confirm that your plan is active and has data remaining. Keep the app and local network unchanged while comparing different routes to the same destination region. If performance changes significantly after switching routes, investigate the network path before upgrading your plan. Video calls, streaming, and file transfers have different network needs, so test with the task you actually use rather than relying only on the client’s connection status. Monthly plans include different data allowances, but a higher tier is not guaranteed to fix peak-hour slowdowns. If the issue continues, note when it occurs, the route names, and the comparison results, then contact support through a ticket.
How should I choose between IEPL, relay, and direct routes?
These terms describe how a route is set up; they do not guarantee the outcome of every connection. Dedicated lines are generally used for cross-border links, relay routes pass through an intermediary node, and direct routes use a more direct path. Actual performance also depends on your local carrier, destination, and current network conditions. Start by identifying the region required by the service you want to use, then compare available routes with your actual tasks: check call and collaboration stability for work, playback stability for streaming, and sign-in and output for AI tools. Do not judge routes by name alone or treat geographic distance as the only factor. Learn about route types on the servers page, then choose based on the routes shown in your panel and your current connection results.
Which regions are covered? Is streaming and AI tool access guaranteed?
VPNRE covers 90+ countries / 230+ routes. Check the user panel for the routes currently available to you. Regional coverage and eligibility to use a service are separate matters: streaming services and AI tools may consider account region, exit IP, payment details, and their own risk controls when deciding whether to provide access. A region label alone cannot predict the result. To test a service, choose a region that meets its requirements, then check sign-in, content loading, and actual playback or output separately. If the service shows a regional restriction, note the message and avoid repeatedly changing account details or attempting to sign in. Follow the service’s published requirements; a successful route connection does not replace its account or regional checks.
Can switching routes frequently interrupt calls, downloads, or AI streaming output?
It can. Switching routes may change your exit IP and require existing connections to be re-established, potentially interrupting calls, file transfers, web sessions, or AI streaming output. The impact depends on how the app handles reconnections. Before starting a continuous task, choose the destination region and route, then confirm the service works. Keep your network environment consistent while the task is in progress. If you need to switch, save generated content and your progress first, then change routes and verify the connection again. Do not treat an incomplete streaming response as a complete result. If an app continues using an old connection after the switch, reconnect or restart it according to the app’s instructions. Developers should also check request logs and avoid resubmitting a task before its status is confirmed.
Order Management
Billing & Refunds
Monthly plans and data packs are billed differently. Check your order, allowance, and reset rules before changing plans.
How much do monthly plans cost? When does data reset, and how do upgrades work?
Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Choose a data allowance based on your actual usage: light browsing, streaming, and ongoing file transfers use different amounts, so device count alone is not a reliable guide. Check your reset date and current usage in the user panel; do not assume every account resets at the start of the calendar month. Before upgrading, review the order and change details in the panel and confirm the target tier and outcome. If the information differs from what you expected, keep the order record and check with support through a ticket instead of submitting the same order repeatedly.
How do data packs differ from monthly plans? Do data packs expire?
Data packs are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They last until the data is used and never expire. Monthly plans reset data each month on your activation date, so the two options suit different usage patterns. If your usage is occasional or irregular, consider how a data pack fits your needs. For regular use, compare monthly tiers against your actual consumption rather than looking only at the order price. Check usage in the client and panel before deciding, but do not assume different tools use identical billing calculations. If you already have a plan and want to change billing types or hold more than one product type, check the panel’s terms first. Do not assume allowances will combine, stack automatically, or be deducted in a particular order.
Which payment methods are supported? What if the panel doesn’t update after payment?
Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT are supported. Create an order in the user panel and follow the payment method and instructions shown for that order. After payment, return to the panel to check the order status and subscription details. If nothing has changed yet, first confirm that the payment was completed, then make sure you are signed in to the account associated with the order. Do not pay again just because the page has not updated, and do not send money to an address from an unfamiliar message. When contacting support through a ticket, include the order ID, payment method, and proof of payment, hiding any sensitive details not needed for verification. Confirmation steps vary by payment method. Closing the payment page does not necessarily mean the order succeeded, and you should not assume a processing or arrival time.
How do I request a refund? Will reporting a connection issue affect my request?
VPNRE offers a 7-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, sign in to the user panel, use the support ticket option to state that you want a refund, and provide the order ID to be reviewed. See the Terms of Service for the applicable rules. Reporting a fault and requesting a refund serve different purposes. If you want to troubleshoot first, include your device platform, route name, and error message. If you want a refund, say so clearly rather than describing a connection issue alone. Check the account and order details before submitting, keep the ticket record, and add any necessary information to the same ticket for easier follow-up. Do not post payment records or account credentials in public comments, and do not assume a refund’s arrival time, return method, or any additional compensation.
